WORKING IN CAMPUS BOOKSTORE My name is Anna. I work as a sales assistant in the campus bookstore. I am also a university student, so I balance my study time and my work schedule carefully. I usually arrive at the store at eight in the morning, before it opens to customers. Before students come in, I arrange books on the shelves, check the price labels, and clean the counter. I also turn on the computer system and prepare the receipt book. During the day, many students visit the bookstore. Some students look for textbooks for their classes, while others buy notebooks, pens, or folders. I help students find the books they need and answer simple questions about prices and availability. When I can help student customers successfully, I feel happy and useful. However, sometimes a book is out of stock or not available that day. In those situations, I feel a little disappointed, but I try to explain the problem and suggest other options, such as ordering the book or checking again later. In the afternoon, the store becomes quieter. Before my shift ends, I count the remaining items and make sure everything is tidy. After work, I usually go back to campus to study or meet my friends. I enjoy my job because it allows me to support other students and be part of daily campus life.
